Although it is very humid in the daytime, it can get VERY cold at night, to the point that you can get hypothermia if you are not wearing the proper clothing.
In order to survive, desert animals have learned a number of ways to adapt to it's environment. The most common way is to stay in the shade of plants and rocks or digging underground in the part of the day when it is hot.
