This is a river that is coming from waterfall. The freshwater biome is made up of any of body of water that is made of freshwater. They cover roughly 20% of the Earth and are in many places spread out all over the world.
This is a salamander. Frogs, toads, tadpoles, crocodiles, hippopotamus, turtles, frogs, otters, fish, ducks and more animals are also in the river habitat.
Under the frogs is duckweed. Also, Cattails and sedges are common plants that grow up from the soil, through the water.
Smaller bodies of water such as ditches and puddles are also considered freshwater biomes because they help a living thing to survive.
This is a trout. Fish are able to get oxygen through their gills. Fish such as trout have adapted to living in rivers, where the water is cooler, clearer and has a higher oxygen level.
